FAQs

Why do we always face baby in?

In GroovaRoo Dance classes, we consider our baby our dance partner. We face baby in for a heart to heart connection, emphasizing the bond between you and baby. If you most often wear your baby facing out, we encourage you to try our class with baby facing in, as the motion and music tend to soothe and calm baby. Please watch this video for more information: Why do we face babies in when we dance?

What types of carriers are best for dancing with baby?

We welcome you to arrive in your own ergonomic, 2-shoulder carrier. The three commonly used carriers in our classes are Stretchy Wrap, Soft Structured Carrier and Meh Dai. Learn more about babywearing safety here.

How far along in my pregnancy do I have to be to take a class?

You are welcome to join a class at any time during your pregnancy, as long as you are feeling good in your body and you have permission from your care provider to exercise.

How old does my baby have to be to take a class?

After birth, your baby must be a minimum of 6 weeks old to join our class and the mother must have a release from her care provider to resume regular exercise.
